From the Embu region east of Mt. Kenya, coffees from this area tend to sit heavy on the palate and have a more rounded and balanced flavor profile than other Kenyans. This coffee was no different. When we sampled this coffee, we were struck first by how sweet it was, and then fell in love with that tried and true Kenya acidity. This coffee is bright and vibrant with notes of sweet grapefruit, brown sugar, and baking spices. It's the perfect cup to enjoy whether you're still living it up in summer weather, or hunkering down as the temperature begins to drop for fall.
