Ethiopia Kayon Mountain

Sold out

The Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm sits on 1,200 acres, with approximately 60% of the land planted with coffee trees. The remaining land is reserved for indigenous shade trees, which helps protect the coffee crop as well as creating compost to fertilize naturally. The farm is located 317 miles south of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital, and has been owned by Ismel Hassen and his family since 2012. The bag design is inspired by the many hands who are involved in the process of coffee's journey from tree to cup. Each Red Rooster bag is biodegradable and is screen printed by hand in Floyd, Virginia. We love the floral and citrus notes from this fully washed, organic coffee.
