Note: This section of the return policy pertains to retail whole bean and ground coffee bought on this site. For other products bought on Javaya, please scroll past this section.

We think good craft coffee be for everyone, even if you've never tried it before. We also recognize that it can be an intimidating experience to shop for something you've never tried before. We want your first experience to be great. That's why we've introduced the Craft Coffee's First-Ever 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you don't love your coffee, return it to us for a full refund.

Seriously? Seriously. If you don't love your coffee, return it.

How To Get Your Coffee Refund:

  1. Start your return here
  2. Here's where we need your help. Tell us what was wrong with the coffee in the Return Reason area. Be honest! Remember, if you didn't like it we're still going to give you your money back. The only wrong answer is to leave this section blank. If you leave the Return Reason blank, a member of our team will follow up with you before authorizing any return. This is really important to us -- we use all Return Reasons to make the Javaya marketplace better.
  3. Once you've submitted your return request, we will review and authorize (if applicable)
  4. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Please read the Terms and Conditions of approval in the next section of this page carefully.
  5. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 30 days.

Terms and Conditions of our Coffee Satisfaction Guarantee:

  • It must be fresh coffee - Coffee return must be requested within 30 days of receiving it, or we won't authorize a return.
  • The "restaurant rule" - You would never send back a meal after you’ve eaten half of it. Similarly, if too much of the coffee has been consumed, we will not accept a return. To be specific, a return where more than 2 ounces of coffee beans have been consumed will not be accepted. 2 ounces is more than enough coffee beans to make an entire carafe of coffee.
  • Tell us why you're returning - There is a place in the return process to provide feedback on why you're returning. Be honest. Be thorough. The only wrong answer is no answer at all. If you don't provide a return reason, a member of our team will follow up with you personally. This will delay the return process.
  • Full refund, no questions asked - We will issue a full refund for the purchase price and pay for return shipping as long as the above conditions are met. You may also request an exchange or a store credit.
  • No abuse - We reserve the right to deny a return or even deny service to customers who treat our business, our employees, or this return process with disrespect. In these cases of denial, we don't have to provide any prior written notice nor do we have to provide explanation. We hope to never have to do this. Seriously.

Other Returns

Note: This section applies to all other products sold on Javaya with the exception of whole bean or ground coffee. For coffee, scroll up.

  • All returns and exchanges are at the discretion of Javaya™
  • Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
  • Gift cards are non-returnable
  • To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
  • Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
  • There are certain situations where only partial refunds or no refunds at all are granted (if applicable): Any physical, non-perishable good with obvious signs of use, Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at customercare@getjavaya.com and send your item to:

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at customercare@getjavaya.com
